My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Birthday: 9/12/2025
Breed: Shepherd Mix (Best Guess)
Good With: People âœ”️ Dogs âœ”️ Cats â“ (he has not been cat tested)

Benji is a happy, wiggly puppy who brings sunshine everywhere he goes! This sweet shepherd mix is the perfect blend of playful and polite. He’s a quick learner who already knows how to sit and proudly waits for his treat after going potty. He’s doing wonderfully with both potty training and kennel training, and he aims to please.

Benny currently lives with a lab “big sister,” and he absolutely adores her. He’s great at matching the energy of his environment—he can play with toys on his own or jump right in for family fun. While he loves to chew (he is a puppy after all!), he’s doing a fantastic job sticking to appropriate toys.

Benny has not been around cats yet, but he’s been nothing but sweet with the people and dogs he’s met. With his cute face, eager-to-learn personality, and all-around wonderful temperament, Benny is ready to make a family very happy.

If you’re looking for a bright, loving, and well-rounded puppy to grow with your family, Benny might just be your perfect match! He will be ready for his forever family late December once his vetting has been completed.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes adoption application which can be completed at our website wagsmn.org. Current fees can also be accessed on our website. After reviewing your application, a meeting is scheduled between you and the pet in the foster’s home or a neutral dog friendly place. If there are any resident dogs in your home, it is required that the dogs meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit is scheduled and, if everything goes well with the visit, the adoption is finalized. A home visit by one of our representatives is required prior to finalizing any adoption, and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason Adoption fee includes: vet exam(s), spay/neuter, de-worming, heartworm test (if 6 months of age or older), vaccinations, microchip, and FIV/FeLv testing (for cats only). Email is the best way to get a fast response (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com).

Go meet their pets

All animals are available to meet by appointment arranged with the foster.
Please come see us at Petsmart on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Eagan (Petsmart 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121); 4th Saturday of each month in Richfield (Petsmart 1100 W 78th St, Richfield, MN 55423); and the 3rd Sunday of each month in Maple Grove (Petsmart 11200 Fountains Way Maple Grove, MN 55369). We will have many adoptable dogs, puppies, and maybe a kitten or two that are able to attend for public viewing... please stop in and play! If you are interested in a specific dog or cat from viewing our available animals at wagsmn.org, please email us in advance of an adoption event (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com), and we will do our best to have them at the event.
