My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pecan
11 week old
Female, Shepherd Mix
12 pounds and growing…

If you ever wanted to know what would happen if you mixed a teddy bear with a polar bear ‍, you would get a Pecan!

This Georgia girl came to Buffalo and has been winning hearts since she arrived.

The silkiest, softest coat you could ever imagine.
Sweet, gentle, yet independent and strong.

Pecan is kid, dog , cat and yoga class ‍ approved .

She loves to be outside, in the snow and is doing very well with her potty training. She is also a fantastic traveler in the car and has been well socialized since her arrival.

We expect Pecan will grow to be a medium to large sized dog.

So if you’re looking for a pup who is cute and cuddly but will also be a lifelong commited family member, Pecan is your girl. (60)

More about this rescue

Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 dog rescue organization and completely foster-based in the Western New York area. We pull dogs and puppies from high-kill rescues all over the country that are on lists to be euthanized. We place them in foster homes until they find their furever homes here in WNY. Every dog that is saved opens up room for another. So in essence two dogs lives are being saved!!
