My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is 1 year old and weighs 32 pounds. This girl has a great temperament and has been around children with no issues. She loves to be around her people and is a complete cuddle bug in the house and will have a full conversation with you lol. However, she is very shy with new people and will not come running up to you. It takes her a couple of days to start to warm up to a new person but she has a gentle temperament and we have never had a nippy issue.  She is also an active girl that would love to accompany you on hikes or long walks as she loves outside. A fenced yard for her to explore would probably be best. She is almost completely house trained and is doing well with the crate method. She also walks on a leash, likes toys, loves to play fetch, likes water and does pretty well for car rides although they are not her favorite thing. She should do well with most any active family. She is also good with other dogs here at the rescue big and small. She is spayed, microchipped and current on shots and preventions. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. All visits require an approved application and appointment. More about this rescue

Nestled in twelve acres of country and woods is a place for animals that are hardest to help, BIGGER dogs, abused pets and puppy mill dogs. They need more time, more space and more love than many full rescues can provide. Their adoptions sometimes take months, but they get the room and attention that they need to get back on all four feet. The problem.... not many people are willing to give them a chance. We also offer low cost spay and neutering when funding allows.
