Routey is a sweet, affectionate boy who wants nothing more than a human he can spend his days curled up with. Whether it’s your lap, chest, or feet, he’ll happily settle in and purr for as long as you’ll let him. His name has a special story: Routey is short for State Route 20, where he climbed into his foster dad’s truck and essentially asked to be rescued. Underweight, beat up, and fighting a few infections, he needed help — and he’s been grateful ever since.
Routey strongly prefers to be the only animal in the home. The other cats and dog in his foster home make him nervous, and he’s made it clear he would thrive as the sole center of your attention. Routey is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Despite this condition, they are in good health and will thrive with a caring owner who understands the unique needs of FIV-positive cats.
Routey is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, routinely treated for fleas and worms, and tested negative for FeLV and heartworm. His estimated DOB is 9/29/2023.
