My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

** Cute Puppy Alert! **

Meet Link and Zelda, two super adorable mini Bernadoodle puppies who are looking for their forever homes! These sweet pups were rescued from a breeder and, while they both have little hernias—which makes them less desirable in the breeding world—we think they’re absolutely perfect just the way they are!

At almost 4 months old, Link and Zelda are playful and full of energy! We expect them to grow to about 30-35 pounds. Like true Bernadoodles, they love the outdoors—no matter what the weather brings! Rain or snow? Bring it on! They enjoy their time outside so much that they might need a little coaxing to come back inside. Currently, they have a lovely fenced yard to play in, but since they haven’t been introduced to leashes yet, that’s a fun skill they'll need to learn in their new homes.

These pups are social butterflies! They play well together and get along with other playful dogs. Older dogs in their foster home have been teaching them good manners, and Link and Zelda have taken those lessons like champs! They are super friendly and love people, so they would be great companions for kids, too.

As they’re still young, Link and Zelda are a bit of a blank slate, so they’ll need some training and patience to help them blossom in their new families. They’re loving, goofy, and eager to learn—especially when treats are involved!

Zelda is fearless!  Nothing stops her and she is a quick learner.  She listens well and is very happy! She is snuggly and sweet and always wants to cuddle up to a person or another dog when it's naptime.  She wants to be around people and gets excited when she meets someone new.  Zelda loves toys too and give her a good chewy, she will be occupied for awhile.

Zelda has received professional grooming and will need regular grooming throughout her life. She is getting used to daily brushing, which is such a great habit to keep up!

If you’re lucky enough to adopt Zelda, you’re in for a wonderful adventure!

Zelda is up to date on all her age-appropriate vaccines and has been microchipped. She is scheduled to be spayed on December 9th, and he’ll be available for adoption right after that. The vet will also assess her hernia, and if necessary, it will be repaired at that time. Her adoption fee is $750 which will help with the care of all the wonderful dogs in our rescue still waiting for their forever homes or our forever fosters needs. .

We can’t wait to help Zelda find her perfect family! ❤️

We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.

Please go to our website and read about the dog there as well as all pertinent info. for adopting this dog. IF THERE IS INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOGS PROFILE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER ,,,GENERALLY SPEAKING,,,,THIS DOG IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THEN PLEASE GO AHEAD AND EMAIL WITH THAT SPECIFIC QUESTION. We will be happy to answer questions not already covered in the thorough amount of info already printed on our website. We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful Pixie Mamas pooches. Without you adopters we could not continue to do what we do. We appreciate your time and effort as well ,to comply with what is needed for us to keep Pixie Mamas Rescue going with as little stress and extra time as necessary.
Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.
Good luck in finding the right dog for your family.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
