My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I`m a high-profile pet, which means my adoption fee will be different than the standard fees; ask an OK Humane staff member how I`m helping other pets with a different adoption fee!

Meet Creg — the sweetest little old-soul velcro dog!
If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Creg might just be your perfect match.

Creg’s favorite things in the world are naps, short strolls outside, and curling up right next to his person. He’s a true cuddle bug who would happily spend the day on the couch with you. With an energy level of about a 2 out of 10, he brings the kind of peaceful presence that makes any home feel cozier.

He can be a little skittish at first, but he’s opening up more every day and showing just how sweet and gentle he truly is. Creg loves people (in moderation) and does fine with other pets—as long as they’re not too hyper. He prefers calm companions who match his easygoing vibe.

Creg knows several helpful cues like “outside,” “potty,” “stay,” and of course the always-popular “wanna eat?” He’s about 90% housetrained, doing great with going potty outside but has marked a couple of times. He’s working on crate training, too—he’ll walk in on his own, though he isn’t thrilled when he knows it means you’re leaving.

If you’re hoping for a soft, mellow, snuggly buddy who will follow you like your little shadow, come meet Creg. He’s ready to be someone’s loyal couch companion for life.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
