Meet Delaney – Grace in Gentle Form
Delaney is a 1.5-year-old hound, weighing about 30 lbs — a graceful, gentle girl with the softest soul. Since arriving at the temporary shelter, she hasn’t made a peep — no bays, no howls, not even a whisper — but her eyes and wiggly tail tell you everything you need to know.
This sweet girl has clearly been through a lot, yet she meets every moment with quiet hope. She’s underweight and still catching up on good meals, but her face lights up when the food bowl comes out. Delaney is eager for love and attention, though she asks for it so politely — a gentle nudge, a small wag, or a look that says, “I’d love some affection, if you have a moment.”
Common for her breed, Delaney would thrive in a home with a fenced yard to run and a home where someone is frequently home.
She’s learning that she’s safe now — that kind hands are here to stay, and that it’s okay to take up space. Delaney would thrive in a calm, loving home where patience and tenderness are second nature. In return, she’ll give you the kind of quiet devotion only a hound like her can offer.
Help Delaney know she’s home, at last. To apply, go to www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application (use laptop or computer).
