My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Sophie Pinkston (sophie.pinkston@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet Candy is as good as she sounds!

CANDY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Candy          Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of December 2025          SEX:    female

Approximate Weight:   30.5 pounds

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at:   Shelter. Candy needs a foster or forever home!

Candy is Looking For:    Candy decided that she is a lounge and love beagle - not a hunting beagle (so her kind family surrendered her - hoping for a pet/family companion life)! She is looking for a forever home where she can share her gentle, easy-going beagle charm. This cute girl is friendly, curious, and always ready to explore the world with her tail wagging. She’d love a family who enjoys cozy snuggles and leisurely walks. If you're looking for a loyal companion to join you on a stroll around the neighborhood and snuggle with you on these chilly days - Candy could be the new beagle bestie for you!

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update once Candy has spent some time in her foster home.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
