My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sandy: Your Future Best Friend!

Happy, delightful, and full of life, Sandy is an adorable one-year-old pup ready to fill your home with love and joy! With her excellent disposition, she’s both sweet and smart—a perfect companion for anyone looking for a four-legged friend.

Sandy's personality shines through in every playful moment as she zooms around the yard, showcasing her young energy. Yet, when indoors, she becomes calm and cozy, often settling in for a nap. Treats are her favorite, and she’ll happily devour just about anything—especially bones and chew toys!

Here are some highlights about Sandy:
- Excellent disposition and temperament.
- Great in her crate and 99.9% housebroken.
- Highly food motivated, so she may try to sneak a bite from a fellow pet’s dinner!
- Minimal barking, making her a quiet companion.
- Timid with new people but warms up quickly with kindness.
- Respectful with her toys—only chewing what belongs to her.
- Enjoys playing with other dogs and is well-behaved on a leash.
- A bit of a counter surfer, so keep food out of reach until she’s fully trusted.

Sandy is looking for her forever home where she can share her sweet personality and endless love. If you're ready for a joyful companion who brings out the best in life, Sandy is waiting for you!

Additional adoption info

If a particular pooch has caught your eye or if you’re searching for a new furry family member, take a few minutes to complete our online adoption application or stop by our Adoption Events to visit with our adoptable pups.

Our application review team will contact you as they process your application and check with your references. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received, but our primary responsibility is to find the best home for each individual dog and the best match for you and your family regardless of application order. We want to see that every animal and family are well-suited as a forever match.

Our adoption fees vary by the animal’s age and specific breed. All adopted dogs will receive vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus, as well as flea/tick treatments and de-worming. Dogs who are too young to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies will receive vouchers to one of our local veterinary partners.

Please contact us with any additional questions! We are available by phone at 847-566-6799, through our website, or through direct messaging on Facebook. We’re happy to answer any questions and work with you as you search for your new family member!
