Texas story… We are Wonton, Chopstick, and Dumpling, and we were rescued from a Shih Tzu & Poodle mix hoarding situation in Sugarland, Texas. Several rescues were called for help, and 4 Little Paws made the 6-hour round trip from San Antonio to save us. We were all terrified, badly matted, some already shaved down, many covered with ticks, and all of us stunk to high heaven! We were brought to San Antonio to live in a foster home while adjusting to normal life and getting ready for adoption. We are now spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, no longer stinky, and ready to find forever homes!
I’m Wonton, a handsome Shih Tzu mix about 6 years old, weighing 10.8 lbs, and everyone at the groomers was impressed by how good I was! I warmed up to my foster mom on day 1, and have been having fun, making friends with everyone, dogs, cats, and humans, young and old, ever since. I love toys and playtime, going for walks, and being carried in your arms like a baby is alright with me. I’m affectionate but not the slober-all-over-you kissy type, but I do love being kissed and cuddled. I enjoy following you around the house and snuggling next to you under a blanket. I’m well behaved, housebroken, and will bark when I need to alert you.
PUPDATE... last week, a pretty little Pug/Chihuahua mix named Flower came in as a foster dog, and right away I was smitten- love at first sight! If you are looking for 2 incredibly sweet and well-behaved pups who are awesome together, snuggle together, and play together, then look no further. Inquire about me or the 2 of us today! Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
