Texas story… We are Wonton, Chopstick, and Dumpling, and we were rescued from a Shih Tzu & Poodle mix hoarding situation in Sugarland, Texas. Several rescues were called for help, and 4 Little Paws made the 6-hour round trip from San Antonio to save us. We were all terrified, badly matted, some already shaved down, many covered with ticks, and all of us stunk to high heaven! We were brought to San Antonio to live in a foster home while adjusting to normal life and getting ready for adoption. We are now spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find forever homes!
I’m Chopstick, a handsome male Poodle/Shih Tzu mix about 4 years old, weigh 12 lbs, and I was already shaved when they brought me home, but my hair is now growing in nicely (see the last picture). I’m a sweet boy, a little shy at first, but otherwise good with everyone, dogs, cats, and kids, and always, the way to my heart is with food, LOL! I am playful, although it took me some time to get there, and I enjoy following my foster mom around the house, especially when she is cooking in the kitchen. I am sweet and affectionate, and I’ll be snuggled beside her when we sit on the couch. I’m a good boy, housebroken, rarely bark, and walk pretty well on a leash. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
