My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosco is a very sweet and beautiful little pup, but is a bit uncoordinated at times. The shelter looked at him and decided that he must have some sort of neurological problem and was therefore "unadoptable" (I think we all know what that means for Rosco). Well, we disagree. Here's what his foster mom says about him...

"He is such a little love! He's still full of puppy curiousity and playfulness, but since he is so small and sweet he is not overbearing at all. He loves my 2 and 4 year old and has been glued to them since he arrived, either playing or cuddling and giving them lots of kisses! Even my husband fell in love as soon as he met him. He really likes playing with his toys and riding in the car. His walk/run is this really cute bunny hop thing and when he really gets going he will actually do a complete roll-over and get back on his feet. The way he walks reminds me of the shopping cart at the grocery store that drifts to one side no matter how hard you try to push it in a straight line."

Rosco is 12-14 months old and weighs 8 lbs. He is a happy little guy with a neurological handicap that affects his balance. He bunny hops when he runs, and may fall over if he gets to running too fast. He simply rolls over and keeps going. He tilts his head to look at you, but he sees, tracks, and hears everything just fine. He is very affectionate, and is great with kids, cats, and other animals. While he is not perfect, he will be the perfect companion for someone willing to look at what he can do and look past what he cannot do.

Things Rosco cannot do: take long walks, go jogging, or be your ferocious guard dog.

Things Rosco can do: greet you enthusiastically every time he sees you, follow you around adoringly, give great snuggles and kisses, ride in the car (loves this), sit in your lap for as long as you will let him, sleep quietly in your bed, play with his toys, and make you smile every time you see him.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, de-flea'd, and come with a collar, leash, ID tag, and puppy kisses from the lucky dog you take home!

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Rosco, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form. ROSCO IS BEING FOSTERED IN VISALIA.
