Hi there, I’m Rosie, a very happy and friendly little 8.5 lb Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with gobs of energy and a sweet demeanor. I was born 9/23/24 in San Antonio, Texas, to a lady who eventually became homeless. She did the best she could caring for me, but eventually decided I deserved a better life and sold me to 4 Little Paws Rescue. Since then, I have caught up on my vaccines, been spayed and microchipped, went to the groomers, and now I am ready to find a wonderful future somewhere in the Northeastern states.
Besides having a lot of spunk, I have a lot of personality and playful energy. I enjoy running zoomies, chatting about my day, and I love being carried and held, but not for too long. I am not into doggy toys, but I am into doggy treats, belly rubs, and having my teeth brushed! Yep, every night before bed, if you ask me, “Rosie, want your teeth brushed?” I will jump and stand up on your legs, awaiting the toothbrush. I know some basic commands, like sit, stay, lie down, and roll over, and I am doing well with housebreaking and leash walking. My owner wanted you to know that I am very affectionate and a very good little girl who deserves lots and lots of love and attention. Inquire about me today!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.

We specialize in saving small to medium breed types and re-homing in the North East where there is less unwanted dog overflow and a high volume of qualified adopters.
