Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blade & Dexter are bonded shihtzu brothers that came to SAAP as owner surrenders. Their dad was being deployed. There wasn’t any available housing pet friendly.

Blade had a “benign mass that seems completely removed. You will want to have it monitored for reoccurrence or any growth as "emerging low-grade malignant (cancerous) mesenchymal neoplasm can not be excluded"
so basically- all removed but close monitoring is recommended especially if it comes back.”- from our vet.

Blade weighs 12 lbs and we are working on losing a few. lol! Aren’t we all?! :-) He and his brother are both potty trained. They get along with dogs in their foster home & stick close to each other. Sweetest, softest little guys you’ll ever cuddle!

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
