My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Hades — The 5-Year-Old Doberman Social Butterfly!

Hades is a fully vetted, fun-loving, people-pleasing 5-year-old Doberman who’s looking for a foster or forever home. This handsome guy didn’t choose the bachelor life — his current canine roommate (a male Border Collie) decided that Hades must go, and since the Border Collie has seniority, Hades is now searching for a new place to land.

Their loss is your gain, because Hades is an absolute gem.

About Hades

If Hades had a résumé, it would read:
“Expert Socializer • Dog Park Regular • Professional Car Ride Enthusiast • Daycare MVP”

This boy LOVES being out and about. Whether he’s mingling with the crowd at the dog park, checking in at daycare to greet all his friends, or hopping into the car for an adventure, Hades is always ready to go.

What Hades Loves

  • Dog parks — the bigger the crowd, the better.

  • Daycare — social hour is all day, every day.

  • Car rides — windows down, ears flapping = pure joy.

  • Walks & outings — he’s always ready to meet new friends.

  • Lady dogs — well… he is a Doberman.

What Hades Needs

Because his current male canine roommate says “nope,” Hades would do best in a home:

  • With female dogs or possibly no other male dogs

  • With humans who enjoy an active, social, outgoing Doberman

  • With a family ready for a sweet, silly, affectionate companion who loves being part of the action

Ready to Add Some Joy to Your Pack?

Hades is affectionate, fun, social, and full of life. He’s more than ready for a fresh start and a place where he can be himself — playful, outgoing, and adored.

If you can foster, or if you're looking for a forever companion who will never say no to an adventure, Hades is your guy.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of rescuers dedicated to the Doberman, some of us since 1976, owning and rescuing this complex, beautiful breed. We have dedicated our lives to every Doberman and their owners who need help. Our ultimate goal is finding forever homes for those Dobermans who have no place to call home. For those surrendered to our program, our homes will be theirs until we find their forever someone to adopt them. We stand behind each and every Doberman that enters our program for its entire life and will take them back at any time in their life should adopter be unable to care for them.
