❄️ Meet Elsa ❄️

Just like her Frozen namesake, Elsa is pure magic. This sweet girl came to us with six other dogs, and thanks to our amazing Facebook followers, she was named for the Ice Queen because it fit her look and vibe perfectly.

Elsa is around 4 months old and we think she’s a mix of Great Pyrenees, Boxer, and Chihuahua — a truly mysterious (and adorable) combo! She will likely grow into a medium to large dog when fully grown.

She’s mostly snowy white with the cutest little light brown heart-shaped spot on her back that makes everyone smile the second they see it. Elsa is playful, curious, and still learning about the world. She has that perfect puppy mix of silly zoomies, sweet snuggles, and “what is this thing?” energy.

Elsa is ready to melt into a forever home of her own. She would love a family that’s ready for puppy antics, growing pains, and lots of love.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees for dogs includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, heart worm tested, and microchip registration.

Adult Dogs: $200
Puppies: $225

Cat adoption fees include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, FIV/FeLV testing, flea and tick prevention, and microchip registration.

Adult Cats: $75 (or $125 for a pair)
Kittens: $90 (or $150 for a pair)

Since 1979, the Effingham County Humane Society has been committed to serving Effingham County, IL and the surrounding area. We are located in the former Funkhouser School, and our non-profit shelter is sustained by volunteers, fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees.

The goal of the Effingham County Humane Society is to reduce animal suffering in our county through educating and promoting responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering pets, appropriate pet identification, proper pet care, and the quality adoption of homeless pets.
