My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm!

Meet Carly! Carly is a beautiful, all black, one year old, 49 pound Poodle mix with the softest curls and an even softer heart. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who adores nothing more than curling up beside her favorite human and soaking in all the love she can get.

She’s doing wonderfully with her potty training, working on her excited tinkles. Carly walks nicely on a leash and greets the world with curiosity. She loves meeting new people, is friendly with other dogs, and would thrive in a home where she can feel safe, included, and cherished.

Carly has that special blend of sweetness and youthful goofiness that makes her instantly lovable. She enjoys quiet cuddles, gentle playtime, and the comforting routine of being near her person. With a patient, loving adopter, she’ll blossom into the most loyal and loving companion.

If you’re searching for a tender-hearted best friend who will bring warmth and joy into your home, Carly is ready to snuggle her way right into your life.

Carly is currently being fostered in Hoboken, NJ. Her adoption fee is $475.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
