JOHNNY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Johnny Best Guess for Breed: Dachshund and Jack Russell terrier mix
Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of December 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 17.5 lbs
Gets Along With: Johnny does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Special adoption considerations: Johnny is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.
Johnny is Looking For: This sweet little pup wants nothing more than to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. To get there , he needs extra loving and patient adopters who understand he needs support in new environments and when meeting new people - and a friendly resident dog who will show him how to dog! Training will help him build his braves as well.
