Naxos, also known as Naxy, is a delightfully goofy girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for mealtime. The moment she hears a wet food can open, she will happily rub her body against just about any surface and circle around you, usually from a comfortable distance. She is more confident being out in the open and loves a large sunny window where she can soak up the warmth and fully embrace her torbie energy.
Naxy is friendly with other cats and enjoys grooming her feline friends and cuddling up with them on a cozy couch or in a kitty bed. She has a softer, lower chirp and will cry when she feels lonely, which makes sense since she is deeply bonded with Mystras, the cat she shares her world with. These two rely on each other for comfort and confidence.
Naxos can be sensitive to loud noises, raised voices, or big changes like furniture rearranging, and does best in a calm, predictable home. One of her most endearing quirks is sticking out her tongue, which is the perfect moment to snap a photo of this lovable goofball.
Both Naxos and Mystras do well around people but tend to feel more at ease with female identified folks. Naxos is currently in foster care and must be adopted together with her bonded companion, Mystras.

More about this shelter
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.
Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
