Gus is a calm, gentle bunny with a soft soul and an even softer coat. He is an easygoing guy who enjoys a quiet life and is happiest when being gently pet or relaxing nearby. While he is a bit shy as he settles in, he does not mind being held and is very tolerant of snuggles, making him a lovely companion for a patient and kind home.

Gus lives comfortably in a hutch and is currently working on litter box consistency. With a predictable setup and routine, he is expected to continue improving as he gets more comfortable in his environment. His favorite activities are simple and endearing: eating, napping, and enjoying calm companionship.

When Gus arrived, he was wheezing and is currently receiving medication to address this. He is doing well with treatment and continues to settle in nicely. He tolerates car rides, does well spending time alone, and has shown himself to be a low stress bunny overall.

Gus has done well with children and would thrive in a gentle, respectful household that appreciates a mellow, affectionate rabbit. If you are looking for a sweet, laid back bunny who enjoys quiet affection and cozy days, Gus could be the perfect addition to your home.

We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most animals. Please read the description to see if this  bird is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the bird and family are a good fit, they would take the bird home at that time.
