Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Handsome, gentle, affectionate, and still delightfully playful—JR is a true sweetheart entering his golden years with so much love left to give. He’s hoping to find a calm, single‑pet home with a kindhearted person or couple who can offer him the peaceful, loving life he deserves.
JR has wonderful manners and enjoys short, happy play sessions with his favorite fishing‑pole toy. When playtime is over, he’s all about comfort—soft blankets, cozy beds, and warm naps are his specialties. Like many seniors (human and feline alike), he has a deep appreciation for a good serving of wet food.
JR does have a thyroid condition, which is common in older kitties, but caring for it couldn’t be easier. His treatment is simply a small dab of medicated lotion on the inside of his ear twice a day. He accepts it calmly and without fuss—truly a gentle soul.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this loving boy, please apply at www.nchsrescue.org. We’d be honored to help you and JR find your perfect match.

More about this rescue
The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society has a dedication and passion to rescue shelter pets located at local kill shelters. Those rescued pets are vetted and vaccinated then placed in our foster care program where they are socialized with our own pets, taught basic manners (dogs/puppies), start crate-training method (dogs/puppies)and in short, get them ready for their forever home. They stay in our foster care system until their forever homes are found. The volunteers of NCHS are dedicated to rescuing homeless pets because there are so many pets in kill shelters that are wonderful, loving pets. They are euthanized simply because they do not have homes.
