The mission of Guardian Angels Cat Club (now doing business as Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter) has consistently been to provide shelter and assistance to stray, abandoned, injured, abused and otherwise homeless tame cats and kittens in the City of Hot Springs and Garland County, Arkansas with its purpose to adopt cats into loving, forever homes.
Guardian Angels Cat Club opened its doors in 2001, the vision of Virginia Harvey and associates. Originally located at 873 Park Avenue, in the Historic District of Hot Springs, the Shelter housed about 100 cats and kittens at any given time.
The main income of the Shelter at that time was derived from its onsite Thrift Store as well as public donation.
Early in 2006, Guardian Angels Cat Club decided to incorporate a DBA - Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter as it remains known today.
In 2008, the members of the Shelter recognized that the facility needed to improve its standards in order to provide a better, cleaner and more humane environment for the cats and kittens and thus moved to Indiandale Shopping Center on Malvern Avenue. Guardian Angels resided there until February 23, 2016 relocating to a new shelter remodeled specifically to house Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter along with their Thrift Store.
