Meet Matilda (Tillie) 💕

Matilda—better known as Tillie—came to us as a kitten along with her siblings and their mom, Emma. While most of her brothers and sisters have already found their forever homes, Tillie and her brother Leroy are still waiting for theirs.

Tillie is one of the more skittish kittens of the litter and will need a patient, understanding home. She has made so much progress in foster care, but it’s important to know that she won’t be instantly affectionate. Sudden movements can still spook her, and trust takes time—but when you earn it, it is truly rewarding.

Once Tillie feels safe, she will sleep with you and show her gentle, sweet nature in quiet ways. She’s the kind of cat who bonds deeply with “her person” and blossoms with consistency and kindness. Leroy is even a bit more shy than Tillie, and the two of them together would do wonderfully in a calm home with someone willing to let them move at their own pace.

If you are the patient type—someone who understands that love doesn’t always come instantly—Tillie (and possibly Leroy too) could be the most loyal and loving companions you’ll ever have.
