My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kairi.

She was rescued by a good Samaritan in Ambridge with her siblings but had to be separated from them due to her Felv+ status, which has been shown to be regressive in a recent qPCR. This means that her lifespan will not be shortened by the virus, and she will likely live a normal, healthy life as long as she remains stress-free.

Since being in foster, Kairi has had to learn all about indoor life with humans for the first time. Despite being timid at first, she loves to be pet and will instantly purr and come out of hiding for a good pet session. She gains most of her confidence when there is a trusted human around who can give her endless love and playtime, and then she will start following and cuddling with you any chance she gets. She is still cautiously exploring her foster home but will roll around endlessly when she is comfortable. She has the sweetest face and meow that would melt anyone, and she would also do well with a gentle feline friend. Kairi would make the best loyal companion for someone who can give her the space and attention to continue to thrive indoors. She needs to be adopted into a home with another cat.

Kairi’s qPCR came back as regressive, this means she is not currently contagious and is very unlikely to ever show symptoms of the virus—some cats even clear it completely over time. While there is a small chance it could reactivate under significant stress, regressive FeLV cats can live full, normal lifespans. For this reason, we recommend FeLV-only homes or homes with healthy, vaccinated cats.

Kairi is around 8 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV negative and FeLV positive (regressive).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need.

Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2.

Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter.

The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
