Brucie is a smart boy, very intelligent. He loves his food, and also some chicken and CHEESE, thats his favorite. He's great with other dogs but very shy with humans. In his foster home, he observes the other dogs getting affection, and then he comes up slowly asking for love too. Hes not really a cuddler yet, only sometimes, but that could change over time. When Brucie gets his bursts of energy he will play with toys and run around with the other dogs and play fight with them - and he loves the dog park! Brucie listens to commands and is good when walking on a leash, but likes to walk behind the other dogs. He loves to sleep on his bed and the couch, and only gets on foster mom's bed if he sees the other dogs do it. Brucie needs to continue to gain confidence and clearly other dogs definitely need to be part of his learning process. He is heartworm positive but going through his treatment right now. Unfortunately that means no trips to the dog park for a while. This is a gorgeous little guy who just needs some time and patience to learn to trust people, but he's coming along just fine so far!

Once Adoption Survey is approved we allow the adopter to have the dog on "sleepover" until we are sure it is a good fit
