My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola
Female
DOB August 15, 2025

Lola is a sleek, beautiful black female kitten who was found outside last fall with her mom and siblings. While the rest of her siblings have been adopted, this little beauty is still waiting for her forever home.

Lola has a wonderful, easygoing personality. She loves hanging out with the older foster cats in her home and also plays beautifully with the other kittens. She’s social, adaptable, and clearly enjoys being part of a furry family.

If you’re looking for a sweet kitten who gets along well with others, Lola could be your perfect match.

Adoption fee is $175 which includes deworming, mite treatment, a minimum of 2 fvrcp vaccinations, spay/neuter and tattoo. For $50 additional, a microchip can also be added during her spay surgery.

5.

Pay Fee

prior to bringing any animal home, an adoption info package is reviewed with the adopter. Then the fee is paid prior to take home.

6.

Take the Pet Home

If the situation is perfect, same day take home is possible but we do prefer the animal does not go home on day of meet and greet

Additional adoption info

Normally we discourage same day take home of animals so there is no hasty decision. We want the foster to have a good feeling about the adopter and we want the adopter to ensure they are making the best decision. We also want to ensure the adopter has all supplies needed to ensure their new companion will be well cared for. When an animal is sent home, we provide contact information should any concerns arise and we are always readily available. Included in the take home package are common concerns with newly adopted cats to help empower the new pet owner. The package also includes the veterinary information on the type and date of deworming +/- mite treatments and vaccines the cat has received in care.

Go meet their pets

Hello! We are a foster-based cat rescue in Manitoba, primarily serving Winnipeg and the Interlake area. In order to meet any of the kitties in care, please first fill out an adoption application and arrangements will be made to visit in the foster home by appointment only. We are very speedy at replying, so we try to arrange visits promptly.

Any upcoming events will be posted regularly on our Instagram and Facebook pages so please do follow us on there!

We will have events throughout the year where we will bring our foster kitties for public meet and greets (ex. craft shows, special events, pet stores)

More about this rescue

Whisker Warriors is volunteer foster-based rescue in Manitoba serving the Interlake and Winnipeg areas. The rescue was started off in July 2025 by 4 long time cat fosters who wanted to get more hands-on and collaborate with local residents and other rescue organizations to help manage the stray cat crisis in Manitoba.

We focus on helping stray and abandoned cats access timely veterinary care which will always include vaccination and sterilization. Ideally, we are able place these animals into loving and stable homes. Cats that are not able to be socialized will be sterilized and released only to situations where they will have proper warmth, shelter and food (such as barns or established shelters with caregivers).

We are always in great need of foster homes as our ability to help depends entirely on availability and amount of fosters as well as funding for ongoing veterinary costs.
