Take the Pet Home
Orchid was the last Azalea Park Bunny to be rescued. We were determined not to leave one bunny behind and she could only elude us for so long. After this beautiful sweet bunny was rescued, she quickly found a friend in Woody. "You've got a friend in me." They bonded almost immediately and have been together ever since. She is his Bo-Peep. Just as in Toy Story, Woody is outgoing and loves to be pet. His friend, Orchid, is a little shy and takes a little time to come around, but she always relies on her big brave boy for comfort.
These bunnies are a bonded pair and we would never think of separating them. They love to eat, sleep and play together. They probably prefer a quiet home where they can relax and enjoy each other's company. Orchid was great with her litter box from day 1, even though she had never seen one before. She is a good hay eater (that is why she has beautful teeth), loves her daily greens like romaine and cilantro and healthy rabbit treats (no fruit, carrots or sugary treats as they are bad for bunnies.) She is also a big fan of Oxbow Adult Pellets.
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step to our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, while a pair is $170. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
