Hello, my name is Samson and my vet thinks I was born around 9/30/10! I was found at a little cabin on the Tennessee River. I guess my parents couldn't afford to keep me or take me with them, but luckily; here I am. I don't mean to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, BUT I AM GREAT! I'm going to be a BIG boy someday, but I'm already good with other pets and love to sleep in my crate where it's safe. I was last weighed on 12/07/10 and I weighed 15.1 pounds, I'm not sure I like the leash thing yet, but it continues to get better. Rural Tennessee is not big on leashes because there is nobody else around for miles in some areas! My Mom probably should have named me "Miracle" because it's a miracle that she found me in the middle of such a nowhere place (Sugar Tree, Tennessee)!
My mentor is named "Merlin" and he’s a 14 year old Newfoundland who has been instrumental in teaching me "potty etiquette". (He is kind of like a grandfather to me.) My other friends. Mattie and Torti, are cats, but they’re okay. Mattie is 16 years old so she’s a little old lady and doesn’t have quite the energy that I do! I try not to bother her, but I had to learn the hard way not to do that! I can almost jump on the couch, now....but not quite, (which is good for Mattie) . . . and Merlin just watches with a wary eye.
Okay, NOW you know all about me and I have FINALLY gotten up the nerve to ask you something . . . WOULD YOU PLEASE ADOPT ME? I LOVE my foster family very much, but I REALLY would love to have a FOREVER family in the Northeast! I promise to do my best to make you happy! If you aren’t sure, please give it some thought and I KNOW you will make the right decision . . . and I’ll be on the transport in NO TIME!
