Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Carmen 🌸
Carmen is a soft-spoken, shy girl with a tender heart. She’s the kind of cat who prefers to take life at her own pace and will always let you know when she’s ready for affection. When she chooses you, those moments feel extra special.
Carmen does need time to come around, so she’s looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust grows slowly—and beautifully. She has lived successfully with other cats and does well in feline company, especially when everyone respects each other’s space.
A calm, quiet home is essential for Carmen. She thrives in peaceful environments where she can observe, relax, and feel safe. She enjoys the gentle presence of humans and especially likes listening to someone read, content to simply share space while staying in her own cozy spot.
Carmen would be a wonderful companion for someone who values quiet connection, soft moments, and the kind of bond that grows deeper with time. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you in her own thoughtful way, Carmen may be the one. 🐾

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
