My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chappy was found as a stray in January 2026. He was found next to a busy street, fearing for his safety a Good Samaritan took him home and went above and beyond by neutering him.

When they reached out to us for help rehoming him something we noticed right away was that he appeared to have a head tilt. We took him into our care and ruled out EC or dental disease and he is currently receiving treatment for a suspected ear infection.

Despite everything he has been through, Chappy is an incredibly happy boy. He has a sweet, gentle personality and truly enjoys being around people. He follows his foster around the room, greets them excitedly each morning, and brings constant smiles with his adorable flops. He is doing great with his litter box and absolutely loves enrichment. Stacking cups and toilet paper rolls stuffed with hay and pellets are his favorites, and he takes his job of getting every last pellet very seriously. Timothy hay cookies are his ultimate weakness. If he smells one, he will come running.

Chappy’s ideal home will be a loving and patient one that can offer him attention, enrichment, and reassurance as he settles in. In return, he promises endless sweetness, silly moments, and all the bunny joy you could hope for.

Chappy was once abandoned, but we are committed to making sure he is never dumped again. He deserves a forever home where he will be cherished the way he always should have been.

More about this rescue

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
