K. A. Applegate, named for beloved children's author Katherine Applegate, is looking forward to writing her happily ever after! She's ready to morph into your new best friend.
Applegate first came to Dallas Pets Alive with her litter of six very young kittens. She was an amazing mom, but now she's ready to be the baby herself.
Unlike most cats, Applegate loves to be held and carried. She won't often sit in your lap, but she will happily purr the day away if you carry her with you.
Applegate is a very friendly girl who loves greeting her fans. Though she's rather chill, she definitely loves getting attention. Scratches behind her ears and treats are the way into her heart. Once she feels really comfortable with you, she'll become more demanding. Eventually, you won't be able to use your own bathroom sink without her jumping up and begging you to turn on the faucet for her.
She does well with most other cats, though Applegate would prefer to be around other quiet, chill kitties. She needs to be in a home with only one or maybe two others, and she might even thrive as an only cat. Though she can coexist with canines, she'd prefer not to be terribly outnumbered by dogs.
Applegate is an incredibly sweet, loving girl and is looking forward to writing her happily ever after story with YOU!
