Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Dolly and sadly, my 89 year old owner is no longer able to care for me. I've adjusted well to my foster home and am looking forward to finding my forever home. I've never lived with another cat, dog, or children so I think a quiet adult only home would be best. I am a good companion to my foster mom and I follow her around the house and sleep nearby, especially when she's in her home office. I'm a quiet cat although I do 'talk' when I have to remind my mom about something. We have our routines and in the evening I sit beside her on the couch. I love to be brushed and have my back scratched and my tummy rubbed. Once in awhile, when it's cold and she has a cuddly blanket on her lap, I will sit on her lap. When other people come to visit, I like it best if I have a secluded place to sleep; I'll visit with them when I'm ready. I love to look out the windows and when my foster mom brings out the laser light I play with her. I hope someone will read this & think I'm the perfect cat for them!
(NOTE: Part of Dolly's adoption fee has been donated by one of our generous supporters)
Dolly is a such a beautiful and loving girl! Please come see Dolly and the other cats that are available at the PetSmart store in The District Shopping Center in Tustin (2237 Park Avenue). Adoptions are by appointment and on Saturdays from 1-4pm.
You can get pre-approved for your adoption! Visit our website and submit your application online: http://www.oc-arc.com/adoptions/how-to-adopt/
When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $200 (kittens 6 months and younger) or $175 (all kittens and cats over 6 months of age). Each of our cats and kittens has been:
- Microchipped
- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia)
- Tested for FIV (Feline Aids)
- De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage)
- De-wormed (tape and round worms)
- Given their first FVRCP vaccination:
We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series.
- Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate
These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, a greater adoption donation is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.

More about this rescue
The Orange County Animal Rescue Coalition is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization whose purpose is to promote humane and quality of life for all animals, rescue animals in need, reduce pet overpopulation and provide pet adoption services. As we grow, we are always hopeful to find caring volunteers to either help with cleaning cages, keeping our cats well socialized and assisting with adoptions. We also need volunteers who are interested in fostering bottle-fed babies, weaned kittens and adults who are injured or need medical care.
