Meet Maverick!
Maverick came to us in not so healthy condition but he is thriving now! He has been a very loving boy and does well with everyone he meets, 2 and 4 legged! Here is a bit about his breed as we are not super familiar with it, he has showed all the characteristics of the breed. He is more than likely a mix of sorts as well.
Mavericks breed is said to be a Sarplaninac HOW DO YOU SAY SARPLANINAC? Sarplaninac is pronounced shar-pla-nee-natz.
The Šarplaninac or Sharr dog is a breed of dog of livestock guardian type. It is named for the Šar Mountains or Šar Planina range in the Balkans, where it is principally found. Wikipedia Temperament: Protective, Reliable, Intelligent, Stubborn, Devoted, Independent, Calm
Maverick will be going to the Puppies for Parole Training Session where he will be for 10 weeks, while there he will learn basic commands such as leash walking, house training, kennel training, sit, down, stay and more
He is fully vetted including Neuter, All Vaccines including Rabies, Heartworm Tested, Dewormed, Placed on Monthly Preventatives as well as Microchipped

The Moberly Animal Shelter is both the Shelter and the Animal Control. The staff members help by picking up stray or lost animals within the City Limits of Moberly, We and also run, clean, and find loving, forever homes for dogs currently residing at the shelter.
We serve the City of Moberly. (City Limits Only) We offer services of adopting animals to the public, and saving stray dogs. When a dog is picked up as a stray it is put on a Stray Hold. This hold is to ensure that the dogs do not have rabies, parvo, or any other illness and it also gives the owners some time to find their dogs.
All dogs that come through the shelter both stray or relinquished are temperament tested as much as possible and then put up for adoption.
If you live in the city limits of Moberly, you will be required to have up to date Rabies vaccinations.
