From Cherry Garcia`s foster mom (Jan 2019): Cherry is a very beautiful and sweet cat! Though she is very timid, she is warming up. Her two favorite things are chin rubs and food, and both will make her purrs the loudest purrs! She needs a family who will give her the time she needs to warm up to them.

- Adoption fee due at time of adoption, fee varies by species and age

Montclair Township Animal Shelter (MTAS) is a municipal shelter providing animal control services as well as sheltering lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted animals. All animals are cared for by a small team of staff and volunteers, and the animals that are available for adoption are promoted via social media and local events. We work with other rescue organizations to accept and transfer animals, on an individual basis, depending on what is best for the animals. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. In additional MTAS provides TNR services for Montclair & Nutley.
