My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These two cutie patootie black kitties are bonded sisters and littermates looking for a calm, loving home where they can get the human attention they are wanting. We took them in to help a friend who could no longer care for them, planning to rehome them right away, but they turned out to be excellent and very content garage cats, happily keeping rodents away and enjoying their own little kitty kingdom. Recently though, they have been spending more time at the door, being vocal and seeking interaction, and it's become clear they want more consistent companionship than we are currently able to give.

We already have several adopted rescue animals in our home, and these girls strongly prefer to be the only cats. Bringing them inside would not be fair to them or to our existing pets, which is why we are committed to finding them a home that better fits their needs.

  • They are:  Bonded sisters and need to be adopted together -
  • Very vocal, social, and people-oriented once settled
  •  Litter box trained
  •  Best as only pets, with no dogs, no other cats, and likely not a great fit for small children
  • Sensitive to change and benefit from a short adjustment period
  • They usually need about a week to feel comfortable in a new environment. Once they settle in, they enjoy being near their people, asking for attention, and curling up for cuddles on their own terms.

To help make the transition easier, they will come with: - Two litter boxes - A case of wet food - A bag of dry food

These girls are affectionate, communicative, and full of personality. They deserve a home where their need for connection can be met and where they can be loved and appreciated like the queens they know they are.  Moxie and Goose live in Portland with their family and their rehoming fee is $100.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
