My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mikey – A Sweet Boy Ready to Bloom

Mikey was born approximately 4/1/25 and came to us from another rescue in hopes of finding his forever family. Now safe with us, he’s ready for the next chapter of his life — a home to call his very own.

Mikey can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but with a little patience and kindness, he warms up and lets his gentle personality shine. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys being part of the household and forming sweet bonds with his people.

He does well with other feline friends and would likely thrive in a home with another kitty companion to help boost his confidence and keep him company.

If Mikey sounds like the perfect addition to your family, apply today at eastshoreha.org to submit a pet application. Once your application is processed and approved, stop in during our open shelter cat viewing hours:

• Mondays from 12pm–5pm
• Fridays from 12pm–6pm

Please remember to apply before stopping by. Approved applications can take their new kitty friend home the very same day!

Mikey is ready to find a patient, loving home where he can truly shine — could that be with you?

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
