My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allow us to introduce Howard, a distinguished, chunky tuxedo gentleman of eight years who is ready to find his forever family. Having spent his entire life with one loving owner, Howie is a cat who knows what loyalty looks like, and he's ready to give it all to you.

Don't let his dignified exterior fool you, Howard is the most talkative cat around. Strike up a conversation and he will happily talk right back. He loves being near his people, soaking up every scratch, and simply sharing the same room as the ones he loves.
Howard is a one-and-only kind of guy. He'd prefer to reign as the sole pet in his kingdom — no dogs, no other cats, just him and his devoted humans. He is a sensitive soul who simply wants a family to call his own and a couch to call his throne.

Due to his health history, Howard requires a UTI-specific diet — and we'll send you home with a few bags of his food to make the transition as smooth as possible.
🏡 Does this sound like you?
Howard is looking for a cozy home, a warm lap, and someone to chat with. Could you be his person?

More about this rescue

Chain of Hope is a passionate animal rescue organization committed to giving forgotten and neglected animals a second chance. We work every day to rescue those who are suffering, provide medical care and rehabilitation, and place them in loving forever homes.

We believe in breaking the cycle of neglect through education, outreach, and direct action. Whether it’s pulling a dog from the streets, helping a pet owner with resources, or speaking up for those who can’t, our mission is rooted in compassion and hope.
