My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Abner" is fostering in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This is his shelter picture. We should have new ones available very soon.

This fuzzy little boy was found wandering around on a major road and was picked up by Animal Control. Sadly, no one came to claim him. He was literally out of time at the shelter, so Secluded Hearts came to his rescue just in the nick of time. We do know that at least at some point in his life, someone cared about him, because he was already neutered when he came to us.

Our vet thinks Abner is between 8 - 10 years old. He is cute as a button! Very loving lap doggie. He is partially blind and is a little hard of hearing. He has an ear infection that is being treated, so it is very possible that once it is all cleared up his hearing may be fully restored.


His foster Mom reports that he is very laid back, loves to be around people, and is very affectionate. He is good with other dogs and cats, too. Children are unknown.

Abner is 21 pounds and walks well on a leash.

Please consider giving this very sweet little boy a home of his own. Poodles can live for up to 18 years, and he has lots of love to give.
