CURIOUS LIKE GEORGE & SWEET LIKE SUGAR!

Hi! My name is Zoey but my foster dad calls me Curious George & my Mom calls me Zoey Bear! I just love my nicknames & I wiggle my tush and nuzzle up to my foster parents whenever I hear them call me. I'm almost 2-years-old (1 year & 8 months to be exact) and I love to zip, zip, zip all around the place which is probably why I'm so darn skinny! I weigh about 38# soaking wet but my foster Mom & Dad are working to put some meat on my bones. I am a healthy girl, spayed, up-to-date on shots and 100% potty trained. I had surgery on my cherry eye and it’s completely healed. Thank goodness for CEBR for fixing me up. My previous family probably liked me well enough but he was just way to busy to give me all the love and attention that I deserve.

I'm curious and I just love to make mischief. I sniff everything in my path and love to explore every nook and cranny of my foster home. I can not be left alone for more than a few minutes or I start pulling laundry out of the basket or garbage out of the trash can; I even dragged a 5# jug of apple juice out of the closet. My foster mom and dad don't even want to know what I would do if they left me unattended for more than a few minutes. That is why they keep me gated in the kitchen with my comfy bed and favorite toys if they leave the house or have to leave the room for a bit.

But other than being a bit nosey, I am very polite and take treats very nicely. I know how to sit, shake and come when called but sometimes I don't feel like it. I am the best walker my foster dad has ever had the pleasure of taking for a walk. I just prance along, exploring my new neighborhood. My foster dad thinks I would walk forever but he knows that bulldogs can only go on short, sweet walks so that's what we do twice a day. I am not a jumpy dog at all. I'm not scared of anything. Loud noises, fast cars, people passing by- none of that phases me at all. And when I snooze, I'm out like a light. Nothing wakes me up! That really caused quiet a scare for my foster mom and dad at first. They came home from running some errands one night and I didn't move a muscle when they said hello, moved the loud gate and even gave me a few rubs. They were really scared! I didn't understand what the fuss was all about. I was dreaming of my new forever home, of course!

I just love my foster sister. We sleep cuddled up next to each other all the time when we aren't playing with our rope toys or stuffed animals. I really love playing tug-o-war with the rope toys. I also have this bouncy, squeaky rubber ball that I chase all over the place. It's my favorite! Some times I have a little too much energy for her & I jump on her or bat her in the face to wake her up to play with me. I really act like such a puppy that my foster mom thinks maybe I didn't have a chance to be one before coming to her house!

I need a little help with following commands. Like I said before, I sit when I want to so I need some help on those basics. My foster mom and dad are working with me daily and I have improved a lot already. I also a bit of a barker when I want to play or need some attention. I get pretty loud but I just need a reminder to calm down and I do!

Yes, I may look a bit silly to the other dogs but I love wearing my sweatshirts and coat during the colder days - especially when I go outside to use the bathroom. My foster dad didn't put it on me one day so I just ripped my bag of clothes off the hook and got it myself. I told you, I'm a bit of a troublemaker.

My perfect forever home would be a place full of lots of activity. I need lots of walks and fun play time. I am not a couch potato at all! I love my foster sister so dogs would be awesome. My foster mom and dad introduced me to their nephew the other day and I loved him. He played fetch with me and let me chase him around the house. Then he gave me all sorts of love and I was in heaven. I love my foster home because it has a fenced in back yard but I don't go out there by myself like my foster sister. I like to wait for my foster mom or dad to take me out and they always wait for me. I do really well on stairs. I zip right up them! So, if you have stairs I will be a-ok! During the day I am very happy being alone for 4 or 5 hours as long as I have my bed, my toys and some water, but after that I need a bathroom break with some hugs, of course.

I was a bit shy at first but now I feel like part of the family just waiting for my forever home! I hope it is a place with lots of love, fun toys and another dog or some kids to play with me.

Cioa for now!

Zoey
