Interested Potential adopters are invited to have a telephone interview during which we get to know the potential adopter’s history with Cats and details about why they are interested in a specific animal and how they plan to care for their new companion. We ask several screening questions in a relaxed, conversational format aimed at finding the right match. Once candidates have passed the screening process we work with them to arrange a time to meet the animals in which they are interested and to do a home screen. Many times these two visits can be combined. Once the decision is mutually agreed to move forward with the adoption the adopter signs a contract and pays the fee.

Community Kitties Rescue (CKR) works with local volunteers to humanely stabilize feral cat colonies through individualized rescue, placement and TNR. By finding homes for socialized cats and kittens and supporting cared-for TNR colonies for feral adults, we aim to end feline overpopulation and the suffering it creates.
