Russell's Story...
Russell is a lab pug mix and a very happy dog and loves to be loved. He is about 5 years old and weighs only around 35 pounds. He is energetic at times, Housebroken, and crate trained. He rides in the car well but if you pet him he wants to crawl in your lap. He wants to get on the furniture but is learning not to. He walks well on a lead. He doesn't know how to play with toys. He plays well with dogs and is untested with cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Russell, a Powell Labrador Retriever/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pug for sale in Powell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pug dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pug breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
