Toby is a 1 year old cattle dog/lab mix with spots that almost look Dalmatian. He has had a wonderful doggy life as an inside pet with 4 little boys and acres to run since he was only 6 weeks old. Unfortunately he started seeing the neighbor’s chickens as interactive squeaky toys and his owner has asked Waggin Tails to find him a new home to keep the neighborhood peace. He also does not do well with cats. Toby has been through all of the puppy stage with everything that entails and is now a calm, almost joyful good boy. He is completely housebroken, neutered, crate trained and well mannered in addition to being a very happy boy. He can be trusted with kids of all ages and is quite frankly the perfect family dog.
Toby is leash trained but needs more practice as that wasn’t a big part of his former life. He has made the transition from country boy to city boy extremely well and is quite happy in our fenced yard. He also loves his walks to visit with all of the neighborhood dogs. He met a 12 week old puppy and several adult dogs of all sizes and handled each encounter well and with confidence. Toby does not bark nor is he a lick excessively. The white on him is so white and the black is so black he looks like he is freshly back from the dry cleaner. His fur is a medium length and will need regular brushing and is extremely soft. He has the exuberance of a young dog but is obedient and will sit in an instant on command as well as come when called.
If you are looking for a family pet, medium size (50 lbs or so) already has had all of his shots and neutering and can just move into your house, Toby is the one.
