Hi! I came into MaxFund with my brother Vaughan and my name’s Stevie Ray. I can’t say either of us are great musicians but we both have wonderful, melodious beagle voices! Neither of us barks much and I only give a beagle-bugle when very excited.
Our humans divorced and no one was able to take care of us. Luckily for us they brought us to MaxFund where we will be well taken care of until we find a forever home. Of course we would like to be adopted together because we have been together since we were pups. We are 9 years old now so that’s quite a time to be together. However, we understand if we have to be adopted into different families. We just want both of us to be a part of a loving, forever family.
I am a friendly and easygoing 39 lb Beagle mix. Beagles are often described as “merry” and yup – that’s me and my brother! I get along with humans of all ages and other friendly dogs. I would prefer a home without cats. I am blind. This is not impacting my quality of life but I do need just a bit of extra attention and help negotiating obstacles in my home and yard. Therefore all children in my immediate family should be old enough to understand this.
I am housetrained and generally well behaved. I enjoy walks – being blind does not prevent me from relishing all the great scents of the world. Until I get to know my humans I need to walk close to my walker’s legs so I can smell them. When I get to know you and feel more secure I walk more confidently. I am not keen on car rides and I find that long journeys are not much fun. I may get better with practice! You can ask the folks here at MaxFund about techniques to help me enjoy car rides more if it is important to you that I get to like them.
If you are looking for a mellow, undemanding dog who would love to be your best friend and confidant, I would be a great choice. So, please, come by and meet me. Just maybe you’ll want to take me home!
