We were driving down Forest Ave. in Staten Island when we noticed a dog following a family down the street. They chased him away and we realized this poor guy was all alone. He ran out into traffic and just missed getting hit by a car. We quickly pulled over and called this handsome guy over, he happily obliged and immediately rolled over for a belly rub! We took him home, named him Forrest, and soon realized this is one affectionate guy!!
Forrest is about 10 months old and is as handsome as can be. He is a mix of several breeds, but we think he's got some pit and ridgeback mixed in there. He weighs about 40 lbs, he'll probably gain a few more pounds, but we think he's pretty much done growing. Forrest is excellent with other dogs and happily greets each one he meets. What Forrest truly loves however, is people!! He met lots of new people at our adoption day and whenever someone came over to say hello he put his head in their lap and looked up at them adoringly. He thought kids were perfect because he could easily reach their faces to shower them with kisses!!
If you're looking for a dog who will be your devoted friend forever Forrest is it. He seems to be housebroken, is up to date with vaccinations and already neutered.
