My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Incredible Awesome Aaron is how people call me in this neck of the woods. Found wandering the side roads of Fluvanna County with a torn back calf muscle, I was really in a bind and running out of time!! Good news for me as the right person found me in the nick of time. Despite the incredible pain I was in, I kept hearing over and over again, "what a fabulous hound," "so gentle and easy going, "how can he be so friendly and giving in the state he is in," and on and on. As young as I am, I have learned many things in my life. I know how to be patient and forgiving, loving and affectionate. While I am still in the recovery mode from having my leg stitched and pinned back together, I am more than up for the task of family pet. Hope to see you soon so I can show you, "there ain't nothin' like a hound dog!

Note: Aaron totally lives up to his nickname of "incredible and awesome." He was the perfect gentleman on the way to the vet the day he was brought in. He snuggled up in the backseat of a volunteer's car and looked so content and grateful to have a warm spot to curl up in. He had also just been fed so this made him feel even more relaxed! Arriving at the vet, you would never know he was in horrible pain. The vet techs asked if he should be muzzled for safety purposes and without hesitation I responded, "No, he is extremely kind and gentle natured." Despite the wound to his back leg, Aaron is in very good health and will make a wonderful family pet. He still has many, many years ahead of him and can't wait to get back on the job...the job of family pet that is.
