My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretchen is a gorgeous black and red German Shepherd, with a little white thrown in for good measure. She is about a year and a half old and significantly underweight (currently she weighs only 57 lbs). She was dropped off at animal control along with two other dogs by her previous owner (Gunny has also been taken in by Shepherds to Love). All three were in bad shape. She did have one litter of puppies, however due to neglect by her former owner only one survived birth.. She is now spayed and on hearworm preventative and is up to date on all her shots. Gretchen is a very sweet dog who loves to explore outside. She does seem to be a bit timid around men, but that will likely change with some love and attention. It appears that she was kept outside so she will need a little housetraining (which has already begun at her foster home).
