My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I"VE BEEN ADOPTED!
Oriiginal Biography:
Hi! My name is Andy and I am looking for a loving forever home. I am about 5 years old, 8.5 lbs, neutered, and up to date on my vaccinations. My story is sad to tell, but I want you to know more about me, so here it is. I had a family of my own, but I got hurt and was hopping on three legs. My family took me to the vet and signed me over to him – I guess they didn’t want to pay for the medical care it would take to heal me. I thought I would be safe with the vet, but he just dropped me off at Animal Control.

I was scared and in pain. My fate did not look good. Animal Control wasn’t going to let me get adopted because I was still not walking on my front leg – I could not even bear to think of what was going to happen to me – but then Yorkie Haven Rescue came, and said they would take me home with them. They didn’t care that I was injured – they just loved me and wanted to try to help.

Well, I was brought to a very nice vet this time, and he x-rayed me and found that I didn’t have any broken bones, but I did have torn muscle in my shoulder. He gave me some medicine and said I couldn’t jump or use my front leg much for a few weeks until I started to heal.

After just 2 ½ weeks, I am walking on all four legs, and not even limping. I still have to be careful and not jump until I am fully recovered, but I feel so much better and I am just so happy! I just love my foster family, and I love to go by the other pups in the house. My idea of a great home is cuddling and playing with you during the day, and sleeping next to you at night. I love to give kisses, and I am just wonderfully housetrained – my foster mom can’t believe how good I am with my potty habits! If you are looking for a sweet, adorable little guy to love, and who will love you back, please fill out an an application for me – Andy!
