Love a dog that’s sweet and agreeable and happy as the day is long? Meet Dandi! This young classically marked Border Collie is just an all round beautiful girl – both inside and out - who is surely going to make some lucky person a wonderful companion.
Dandi came to WBCR from a shelter in rural Utah. We know nothing about her past, but whatever it is, she has moved beyond it and instead greets each new day with a sunny outlook and a wag of the tail! Dandi really enjoys the company of humans, soaks up attention and interaction with people like a sponge, and she loves more than anything just to join her human family in whatever they might be doing. She cannot contain her delight upon seeing her human friends, and her whole body wiggle wags as she comes over to greet you! Dandi is also good with most other dogs (the only exception being growly, bossy females) and will happily play with other playful canines. Dandi is kind of bewildered by cats, but could likely live with dog savvy felines. She is just starting to learn about toys, but doesn’t show much herding instinct. Dandi is overall a moderate energy girl and not nearly as intense as a lot of BCs. Given this, as well as her level
head and outgoing nature, we think Dandi may be suitable to therapy work.
Dandi also scores well in the skills department. She’s housetrained, cratetrained, and respects the fence in her foster home. She knows a few of the basics, walks fairly well on a leash, and has a pretty good recall with those people she knows. With a little brush up in the manners department we are confident Dandi will just shine as a canine companion!
Dandi is a versatile girl and is suitable to a lot of different kinds of situations. If you are looking for a fun, well-adjusted, and loving dog to be your best friend, Dandi would LOVE to meet you!
Dandi is spayed, fully vetted and living in a wonderful foster home near Castle Rock, CO.
