When Toto's owner got sick and they had to move, the place where they had to move to was too prohibitive in their acceptance of animals and they wee forced to give up their treasured pet of 10 years. Why can't there be places where they don't gouge senior citizens and their pets?
Meeting Toto was a pure pleasure. This little boy looks much younger than his age. He's in great physical condition and doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. A lot of us have things to learn from Toto's mom about taking care of a dog. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered (too long ago to remember), on Frontline and Heartguard. And, he's a real charmer. Great with all peole and friendly with other dogs. Among his Rawhide canine friends, he prefers to be with Emma, who is as gentle and sweet as Toto, but one day after arriving, he's already mingling with the entire crew.
Toto loves to be held and greets you with a wagging tail and a smile. He gives kisses, too. We think Toto is the perfect companion for a couple without children although we were told he was fine with kids. It's just that he IS a senior and prefers peace and quiet over a lot of excitement. He is fully housebroken but we'd prefer that he is not left alone as he really enjoys human companionship.
Toto will sleep in his own bed but sometimes sneaks up on the bed when he thinks his human is sound asleep. If you stir too much, he'll head back to his bed nearby. Toto is not a barker and will quietly wait for his human. That is when he catches up on some ZZZ's.
