 Leroy was rescued from a puppymill, so had a shaky start in life. He was adopted by a family with four children, but all the noise and excitement proved to be too much for him. His adopter said he wasn't bonding with them so returned him to Ratbone. Since coming to his new foster home, Leroy has blossomed. He is about 2 years old, 18" tall, and 18 lbs. This gentle fellow adores being petted and scratched, and will let you pick him up even though it frightens him. He gives wonderful kisses. Leroy goes into his crate at night on command and walks well on a leash. He doesn't have house accidents when let out frequently, but doesn't ask to go out. He is very food driven but with no aggression. He plays nicely with his foster brother and wants to play with his older foster sisters, but they won't have it, so he steers clear of them. Leroy needs to be placed in a home with another dog, as he seems to draw confidence from the other. He is still VERY timid and frightened by loud noises, so placement in a home without children is imperative. He may never be a lapdog but, with time, who knows... For more pictures, click here.


Our adoption fee is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 6 months and $200 for American Hairless Terriers).
